The Toronto International Film Festival has begun the roll-out for selling its ticket packages for festival screenings. Starting today, packages go on sale for TIFF Members and with Visa only. Starting on July 4, they become available to any Visa cardholder at 10 a.m. ET. Visa is one of the major official sponsors of the festival and is the only credit card they accept. The following week on July 11, all tickets packages are available for purchase by anyone.
Single tickets will go on sale beginning on September 3 (August 25-29 for Members according to giving level).

Toronto – The Toronto International
Film Festival® returns for its 36th year with a new Festival Box
Office location opening August 23 at Metro Hall (225 King St.
West), increased daytime public screenings, a special offer and new ticket
packages designed to enhance the Festival experience for Festival pros, first-timers
and everyone in between. The 36th Toronto International Film
Festival runs from September 8 to18, 2011.
"We are constantly looking at customer feedback in order to enrich
the Festival experience. In 2011 we are implementing changes that are the
direct result of Festival-goers' suggestions, including new ticket
packages and increased daytime screenings," said Cameron Bailey,
Co-Director, Toronto International Film Festival. "TIFF Bell Lightbox will
be the heart of the action for 11 days as the building will serve as the hub of
activity throughout the Festival."
TIFF’s year-round home, TIFF
Bell Lightbox, will host public screenings as well as press and industry
screenings. For the 17th year, the Festival is pleased to
partner with Roy Thomson Hall as it hosts Opening Night, Closing Night and Gala
Presentations. The Visa Screening Room, located at the Elgin
Theatre, once again hosts screenings and red carpets. New this year, the
Princess of Wales Theatre hosts screenings and red carpets from September 9 to12. Returning cinemas include:
AMC 24 at Yonge & Dundas, the Isabel Bader Theatre at Victoria College on
the grounds of the University of Toronto, the Winter Garden Theatre, Jackman
Hall at the Art Gallery of Ontario and Ryerson Theatre at Ryerson University.
Scotiabank Theatre Toronto returns for public, press and industry screenings.
