The ceremony for the 18th Colors Screen Awards took place this weekend in Delhi. The event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Sajid Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
Milan Luthria's The Dirty Picture was the biggest winner of the night, taking six awards. It shared Best Picture with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and took Best Director, Actress (Vidya Balan), Female Singer (Shreya Ghoshal for "Ooh la la"), Costume and Dialogue -- in another tie with Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara also picked up Best Supporting Actress (Aditi Rao Hydari), Choreography, and Ensemble Cast for actors Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. However, the entire team for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara except for Katrina Kaif boycotted the proceedings after learning of the juries plans for shared prizes. A spokesperson said "the team definitely smelled something fishy and decided to stay away."
Delhi Belly managed a haul of four awards. Its wins were for Best Screenplay, Story, Editing and Production Design. Four prizes were also given to Shaitan which won for Best Debut Director, Background Score, Sound Design and Cinematography.
The show will be aired on Colors TV Channel on Sunday, January 22, featuring peformances by Shah Rukh Khan and actresses Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit, Priyanka Chopra and Anushka Sharma.
