Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards - winners

The Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards ceremony for films of 2010 was held on Tuesday night in Nay Pyi Daw, Myanmar (also known as Burma).

The top prize went to the love-triangle story Adam, Eve and Datsa. It also won the top acting awards for Lead Actor Pyay Ti Oo, Adam and Lead Actress Thet Mon Myint.

However, Red Sun Above Sea by Khin Maung Oo and Soe Thein Htut came away with a greater number of trophies. It claimed five awards for Best Director, Supporting Actor (Wai Lu Kyaw), Screenplay, Cinematography and Editing.

The other award recipients were Hwar Hwar Aung who won Best Supporting Actress for A May Kyae Zuu Sat Phu Chin Tae, and Best Music winner Myanmar Pyi Kyaut Sein.

The Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards ceremony has been held annually since 1952.
