MUFF celebrates and promotes low-budget filmmakers and those who challenge the boundaries of mainstream Hollywood and the conventional film aesthetic attitude. Their focus is primarily on independent, experimental and avant-garde short films.
The 7th Montreal Underground Film Festival takes place on May 17 at Sala Rossa (4848 boul. St-Laurent) and from May 18-20 at Peut-être Vintage (6029A ave. du Parc, corner of Van Horne).

Anne Golden
Anne Golden is a curator, writer and video maker. She has directed or co-directed twelve videos.
Kristopher Woofter
Kristopher Woofter is a PhD student in Film Studies at Concordia University, and teaches genre film and fiction at Dawson College and Montreal’s Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies. He co-curated the “Gothumentary” program at the Sebastopol Documentary Film Festival in March 2012, and has served as co-chair for the Horror Area of the Popular Culture Association since 2008.
Charlie EllBé
Charlie EllBé is a recent Graduate of the M. A. program in the Film Studies at Concordia University. She has presented some of her research projects at various conferences in Montreal, Boston and San Antonio, and she has worked as a tutor and guest-lecturer. She is now Coordinator of the Moving Image at the Visual Media Resources at Concordia University.
