The Punjabi International Film Festival 2012, May 18-21
The inaugural Punjabi International Film Festival launches tonight in Toronto. Tonight begins with an Opening Gala with Jasbir Jassi live in concert at the Grand Victorian Ball Room of the Raddision Plaza Hotel, Mississauga.
Then screenings take place throughout the long weekend starting with Canadian Soldier Sikhs: A Little Story in a Big War. In addition to screenings, there will be accompanying discussions; live musical and dance performances; and seminars, panels and workshops. Many of the screenings and events are free.
The Closing Film on Monday will be Anhey Ghore Da Daan (Alms for a Blind Horse).
The Festival continues to Monday May 21 at venues throughout Mississauga, Brampton and Toronto.
