Alvin Yapan's Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa (The Dance of Two Left Feet) swept the field in picking up seven awards. It won for Best Film, Director, Screenplay, Actor (Paulo Avelino), Supporting Actress (Jean Garcia), Cinematography, Music. The only one of its nominations it didn't win was for Editing.
The Best Actress prize went to Maja Salvador for Paul Soriano's Thelma, while Art Acuña won the Best Supporting Actor Award for Niño by Loy Arcenas.
Lawrence Fajardo's Amok picked up a couple of prizes for Editing and Sound.
The special Natatanging Gawad Urian award was presented to cinematographer Rody Lacap for contributions to the local filmmaking industry.
