2012 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards – winners

Over the last three nights, the 13th International Indian Film Academy Awards took place in Lion City, Singapore. Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar dominated the Popular Awards on Saturday night, each taking home four trophies.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara took the top two prizes for Best Film and Best Direction. It also won for Best Supporting Actor (Farhan Akhtar) and Best Story. This was in addition to its previously announced five wins in the technical categories for Cinematographer, Editing, Screenplay, Choreography and Sound Mixing.

Rockstar picked up the awards for Best Actor (Ranbir Kapoor), Music Direction (A.R. Rahman, Nadaan Parinde), Lyrics and Playback Singer - Male. The lead actors Kapoor and Nargis Fakri were also named the Star Plus Hottest Pair. However, its only technical award was for Background Score (A.R. Rahman).

Vidya Balan was named Best Actress for The Dirty Picture. The Supporting Actress prize went to Parineeti Chopra in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Chopra was also named the Best Debut Actress.

Special Awards were given to Actress Rekha, director Ramesh Sippy, Norwegian actress Liv Ullman.
