2012 Worldwide Short Film Festival, free screenings


The 18th annual Worldwide Short Film Festival officially gets underway on Tuesday night with a gala screening of AWARD WINNERS FROM AROUND THE WORLD. In anticipation of the official launch, the festival is hosting two free screening events today at Dufferin Grove Park.

The first program SHORTS FOR SHORTIES: FLICK-NIC takes place at 12pm noon and is suitable for all ages. Then at 9pm, the program CHRISTMAS IN JUNE. These two programs will give a taste of some of the variety and possibilities that are offered in the days ahead.

The Worldwide Short Film Festival is the largest short film festival in North America. They will present 244 films from 35 countries, and includes variety of genres – live-action, animation, experimental, documentary and music videos.

The 2012 Worldwide Short Film Festival runs from June 5 to June 10 in downtown Toronto.

SHORTS FOR SHORTIES: FLICK-NIC

OUTDOOR SCREENING: CHRISTMAS IN JUNE
