Free French Films On Campus – Oct 18, 20, 26
The University of Toronto's Cinema Studies Students Union (CINSSU) and Ryerson University are presenting free screenings of French films over three days during the next week beginning tonight. All films will be presented in the original French with English subtitles.
At 7pm, they will show Tomboy by Céline Sciamma, followed by Polisse by Maïwenn at 9pm. On Saturday night, they will screen Le Tableau by Jean-François Laguionie at 7pm, followed by Rubber by Quentin Dupieux at 9pm. Both nights take place at Innis Town Hall at 2 Sussex Avenue at St. George Street South of Bloor Street.
Next week on October 26, they will present Le Voyage extraordinaire by Serge Bromberg with director Bromberg in attendance. The screening will take place at 7:30pm at Ryerson Library Theatre.
The films are presented by a collaboration of the Consulate General of France in Toronto, the Cinema Studies Institute and the Department of French of the University of Toronto, and the Arts and Contemporary Studies and the Department of Sociology of Ryerson university.
