Gotham Independent Film Awards 2012 – winners
Tonight, the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) held their 22nd annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York. The ceremony was hosted by Mike Birbiglia.
Best Feature went to Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, winning against competition from Bernie, The Loneliest Planet, The Master and Middle of Nowhere.
Director Benh Zeitlin won the Breakthrough Director Award for Beasts of the Southern Wild. He also picked up the inaugural Bingham Ray Award, named in honour of the indie film executive and distributor.
Career Tributes were given to Marion Cotillard, Matt Damon, David O. Russell and Jeff Skoll.
