Cannes 2013 Quinzaine des Réalisateurs (Directors' Fortnight) lineup announced
The Société des Réalisateurs de Films (Film Directors' Guild) has announced the films for their 45th Quinzaine des Réalisateurs (Directors' Fortnight), the last of the Cannes Festival sidebars.
17 of the 21 films that will screen are world premieres. Unfortunately, none of the selections are from Canadian filmmakers. Women are underrepresented as usual, though not as badly as in the official selection. Among the women directors is Belgian actress Yolande Moreau from the cast of last year's closing film Camille redoubles (Camille Rewinds). She presents her directorial debut Henri.
The 45th Quinzaine des Réalisateurs takes place May 16–26, 2013, starting one day after the launch of the Festival de Cannes.
