Brit Awards 2014 – winners

The Brit Awards 2014 took place tonight at London's O2 Arena with actor-comedian James Corden hosting for the fifth and final time.

David Bowie took the title of British Male Solo Artist 30 years after winning it for the first time. This time, Bowie won against Jake Bugg, James Blake, John Newman and Tom Odell. Bowie made a comeback in 2013 in releasing his first solo material in a decade.

Arctic Monkeys picked up the biggest award of the Brit Awards 2014 with AM being named British Album of the Year. They were also winners for the category British Group.

Other winners on the night included Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Bruno Mars, Lorde and Daft Punk.
