Writers Guild of Canada's 2014 WGC Screenwriting Awards – winners
The 18th annual WGC Screenwriting Awards took place Monday night at Koerner Hall at the TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning, and it was a great night.
The show, hosted by Seán Cullen and written by Seán Cullen and Luciano Casimiri, was fun (and funny!). The pre-show reception was packed with WGC members and our colleagues in the industry. All in all it was a terrific evening celebrating the excellence of Canadian screenwriters, and we salute all of the nominees.
We'd like to thank our guest presenters: Murdoch Mystery’s Yannick Bisson, 19-2's Adrian Holmes, and Spun Out's Rebecca Dalton. As well, a big thanks to the WGC members who presented awards: Ryan Belleville, Jason Belleville, Bruce Smith, Jeff Biederman, Ken Craw, Jennifer Daly, Carol Hay, and Jill Golick.
And finally, congratulations to all of the award winners! We're proud to acknowledge their achievements as some of the country's best screenwriters.
