Milena Canonero's creations for the The Grand Budapest Hotel won the Excellence in Period Film prize while Colleen Atwood was presented with the Excellence in Fantasy Film award for her costumes in the fairytale adventure Into The Woods, starring Meryl Streep and James Corden.
Both films have also been nominated in the Academy Awards costume category.

The event - which was hosted by The Day After Tomorrow star Emmy Rossum at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles - also honoured Naomi Watts with the Lacoste Spotlight Award which is given to "an actor whose talent and career personify an enduring commitment to excellence."

On receiving the gong, the blonde beauty - who stunned in a white, floor-length gown from Altuzarra's Spring/Summer collection - opened up about her love of costumes and credited her mother for introducing her to design from a young age.

According to Deadline, she said: "I love clothing. I love costumes. I love designers. I feel like it's such a huge part of my life. I grew up with my mother, who made our clothes, hand-sewed them."

Honorary awards also went to director Richard Linklater, who was presented with the Distinguished Collaborator Award and costume designer Aggie Guerard Rodgers, who took home the Career Achievement Award.
